And Relax!

I’ve had a pretty manic couple of weeks, entirely my own doing and set to continue. I have to get Un:Bound back in the schedule properly, especially with plans for video editions #2 developing in interesting (read ‘mental’ and ‘excessively ambitious’) ways. I also still have to see M to let him know i’m starting the divorce paperwork and i’ve changed my name back to Wearing, as of yesterday.

Anyway this weekend i’ve had a good friend to visit, which has meant i’ve actually stopped racing around and spent pretty much the whole of Saturday vegged out on the sofa watching TV and movies and eating shortbread with Vince. This is what we do when we don’t have stuff to deliver for Un:Bound if I am up in Leeds, but it was nice to relax at home this time around. And of course usually we are rushing around trying to get stuff done for UBVE, or he is, I am quite often just watching stuff get done.

I think people underestimate the importance of being able to just veg, I find it difficult to do on my own and much more relaxing with good company. Stopping for a moment has made me realise how tired I am though, hopefully i’ll be all caught up on sleep for the start of the chaos on Monday.  Normally if i’m forced to stop and take a weekend off, that’s when i find everything that has happened over the last year catching up with me, making me low, making it hard to just chill out in my own home. That’s getting easier, and having people in the house sometimes, not always being alone here with the cats and my thoughts, that’s helping.

As for changing my name, I signed it, Vince witnessed it, it’s done. I am myself again. I had an odd urge to cry once it was done. In a good way. One more step completed, one more weight off my shoulders. Gradually chipping away and moving my life forward. I hope M is doing the same.

Oh also, I am finally on Words with Friends. I am rubbish, but i’m there. Hagelrat if you want to play.

I’m right there with you, hang in there. Oh, and is there anything I can do to help with the UBVE? Just say the word! See normally this is where I’d offer to send baked goods, but you’ve got that covered! *laugh!*

Oh I expect we can find a way to use you. 🙂
