EFK celebrated it’s anniversary yesterday, by which I mean a few of us went to square bar for a couple of drinks and even fewer ended up out very late eating kebabs, according to facebook. I sacrificed this am’s one on one to the cause, but that’s ok, I needed the extra time in bed really.
It’s been a fantastic year, since breaking off from our previous organisation EFK has refocussed on the fighting, looking for efficiency and better violence rather than the best looking technical moves. We’ve all come on and gradings mean so much more now they are actually hard to get.
We’ve done well as a Squad at tournaments of various sizes and well i’ve always posted my various injuries here. There has been so much personal determination on show in the last year, people training through injuries and illnesses, the early mornings in the first half of the year training in the mud. A couple of the guys did a five day course in Bulgaria and we’ve had Jadi Tention, Marcus Lewis and Nathan Leverton come and do seminars.
We are seeing new members come in gradually, which is great because we have made them part of our crazy little family. I’m really proud to be a part of it.
Happy Anniversary EFK
